maharashtra nature park
A new ecological threshold between Mumbai and the Mithi river facilitates access into the Maharashtra nature park.
Public amenities define the edge between the street and the park. A landscaped amphitheater adjacent to the knowledge centre opens to views of the proposed bridge. The ebb and flow of the Mithi river enables the park to offer a botanical refuge in all seasons. Seven floating islands align to create the bridge supported on buoys. Physical filters and trash collectors are powered through wind turbines. Linking Dharavi and BKC, the floating bridge provides a platform for mobility, recreation and exchange.
