Constructed primarily in load bearing rubble masonry, Safed Kothi – evokes and reinterprets the clients’ memory of white washed, high-ceiling colonial era bungalows.  Designed as a homestead for two families, the buildings are arrayed as a stone enclosure, operating as an architectural frame for distant views of the Aravali hills. A reflecting pool anchors the vegetable beds, cooling the westerly breeze from the Aravalis.  The two homes share a stepped stone court, shaded under a mango tree, offering a meditative glimpse of the pool and the landscape.
